Guidelines for players and parents

We are officially moved into Swift Sportsdome full time! All programs will take place there, at 1465 South Meadows Parkway, Reno NV 89521, from now on.

Please read the guidelines below, both parents and players.

1) Spectators

Spectators are allowed at Sportsdome---Yay! We are excited to get to see our parents and families on a more consistent basis, and for you to see the progress your player is making! A few requests:

  • Please stay upstairs where the mezzanine overlooks all the courts. Parents are requested to stay upstairs and to not be downstairs along the brick wall. At no time will parents be permitted onto the courts, regardless of the bleachers that may be there.
  • We'll have an admin person on staff most times that can help with any programming questions. Please do not approach the coaches on the courts at any time.

2) Set up and team down

We will often need to set up nets before each session and tear them down after. This will take a bit of time, though as the players get more familiar with it, we'll work together to knock it out as quickly as we can. Please know that set up and tear down may eat into training time, and the staff is accounting for that time as we plan our sessions. We'll make them as efficient as possible. Please know that we will ask players to assist with setting up---we appreciate your daughter coming early and being available to help.

3) Player item storage

We have minimal storage available to us, and request that your players bring as few items as possible with her. We know they're often coming from school, but request that if they're not, they don't bring a ton of bags or clothes.

4) Food and drink

Sportsdome does have an awesome restaurant, and there are drinks available. We do request that all food and beverage stay away from the courts, and that we don't bring outside food in. Water bottles (close-able, no spilling Stanleys please) are permitted. While it should go without saying, there have been instances of other parents abusing alcohol at the bar. We hope this won't be an issue with anyone in the NNJ family.

5) Respecting the space.

We would like to treat Sportsdome like it's our own. Players will be asked to take care of it like it's their own, too. Respecting the space is paramount to maintaining a great relationship with the people there, so please pass the message on to your players that any untoward behavior won't be tolerated.
