Alix grew up in Virginia City and was a three-sport athlete through high school. Volleyball was always her primary love, and she used it after high school to break the ice in different communities around world. She started coaching at 17 in both high school and club.

In 2009 she got the amazing chance to start NNJ with Director Jason Sterrett. The 2023-2024 season will mark her 23rd year of coaching, which includes club (she loves middle school ages but has coached at all ages), high school and middle school. 

A fun fact about Alix is she loves the TV show Friends and old school James Bond movies.
