Julie grew up in Idaho where she fell in love with volleyball in middle school. She played 5 years of club and three years of varsity in high school. After high school she played 4 years at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, ID as a libero.

She started coaching while in college and developed a passion for helping kids love and develop in the sport. She’s coached on and off since college at various levels, from pre-k to college programs and everything from private lessons to large camps. She especially loved her three years as a head club coach.

Currently Julie is a PE teacher and head middle school coach, and is thrilled to be joining the NNJ team!

 Julie and her husband enjoy chaos so they have 5 kids and 7 pets. Julie also loves boating, all things Harry Potter and being in the mountains!
